Organic Maritime Pine (Turpentine) essential oil

A seaside conifer with branches clustered at the top and needles that are not very prickly. Its resin, which is not sap, accumulates in the wood and bark: it provides real protection against insects and fungal infections. Traditionally collected by incising the trunk, its distillation gives turpentine. This essential oil has a slightly harsh, resinous and woody scent and is unmistakably reminiscent of the pine tree typical of the Landes forests.
