    Ferula or Galbanum essential oil

Umbelliferae from the desert regions of Iran, with yellow flowers at the top of its tall stem. A plant with a "biblical" essence, present in all the great traditions, the ferula produces a milky juice, harvested by incising its roots and stems. This extract solidifies in the air into a gum-resin called "galbanum". Its essential oil, sought after by perfumers, seduces with its very original, earthy, raw and green scent, with notes of conifers.

Quality Botanical family: Apiaceae Latin name: Ferula gummosa or Ferula galbaniflua Also known as: Gumdrop, Giant Fennel Origin: Iran Culture: Conventional Part used: Gum-resin Production process: Steam distillation Quality: 100% pure, natural, integral and chemotyped Olfactory notes: green, bitter, earthy, balsamic, resinous, penetrating Main constituents Monoterpenes (over 80%): beta-pinene, delta3-carene, alpha-pinene, myrcene Our opinion This essential oil has many original features. First of all, the producing organ: a gum-resin extracted from an Apiacea is rather rare. It must be particularly complex to be able to unify! Solemn like any essential oil extracted from resin, but ultimately quite fleeting, like the undulating umbellifers. Precautions for use Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in young children. Not for oral use. To be used for short periods or to allow for therapeutic windows. Irritant essential oil in its pure state, be sure to dilute it sufficiently for skin use. Risk of allergy (limonene): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use). Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from heat and light.
