This is the plant that is well known for its food use, but it is not the root that will be the focus of our attention, but the seeds of its umbel. This essential oil is mainly composed of monoterpenes, monoterpenols, sesquiterpenes and especially sesquiterpenols: carotol and daucol in smaller proportions.
It is used in aromatherapy to regenerate the liver, in case of sluggishness or overload of this organ, and even after a hepatitis or a serious intoxication of this organ. It is cholesterol-lowering. It drains the kidneys (renal insufficiency). It revitalises the deep layers of the skin. In terms of regeneration and revitalization, this EO is essential in cosmetic aromatherapy. Any skin marked by the passage of time, by chronic stress, by the after-effects of aggression (burns) will appreciate its in-depth action. To be associated, for example, with rose hip or argan vegetable oils.
The essential oil of carrot has a pungent, warm, persistent smell. Essential oil of regeneration, it is also psycho-emotional. It will help an insecure individual to find within himself all the resources necessary for his reconstruction.
