A biennial plant from our regions, this species is less well known than its cultivated variant, but thus has the double advantage of being organic and ... wild to be precise. Its essential oil has a slightly earthy, woody and intense smell.

The wild character of this plant is a definite advantage. In its natural state, this beautiful apiaceae can grow up to one metre high, so it is not afraid to assert itself!

Note

Both cultivated and wild carrot essential oils can be obtained from the seeds or umbels, and so will differ from each other. This should be taken into account when using them.

Precautions for use

Contraindicated in women wishing to have children, in pregnant and breastfeeding women, and in young children.
Not for prolonged internal use.
Risk of allergy (limonene): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use).
Avoid contact with the eyes.
Keep out of reach of children.
Store away from heat and light.
