    Organic Hô wood essential oil - Shiu wood - Japanese laurel

    A tree native to China, found in tropical areas and preferring very sunny areas. Characterised by large, shiny, evergreen leaves and delicate yellow-white flowers with a sweet aroma, it is often used for ornamental purposes. Its essential oil is reminiscent of Rosewood: fresh, invigorating and floral with a rose-like fragrance.

    Depending on whether it grows in China or Madagascar, this tree will give two essential oils with different names and chemotypes.

    • China: Hô wood, Cinnamomum camphora CT linalool
    • Madagascar : Ravintsara, Cinnamomum camphora CT 1.8 cineole

    Compared to Rosewood, Ho Wood has advantages and disadvantages. Among the advantages, the relative absence of cineole makes it less volatile, less pungent: the impression is softer. Among the disadvantages: a little too present, linalool lacks moderating molecules.

    • Food supplement. Not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended dose (1 drop, once a day, maximum 35 mg).
    • Not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy.
    • No significant risk at physiological doses.
    • Risk of allergy (linalool): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use).
    • Avoid contact with the eyes.
    • Keep out of reach of children.
    • Store away from heat and light.
