With its fresh, resinous scent, Ponderosa Pine essential oil is derived from steam distillation of young branches and needles. The Patagonian pine, native to the rocky mountains of the United States, also grows in Canada and Argentina, where this essential oil comes from.
The Patagonian soil has allowed the species to develop a chemotype very rich in methylchavicol, with a delicately acidic and aniseed-like odour. Among other things, it has calming and relaxing properties for muscles in case of stiffness.
