Presentation
This tree, which can be found in Madagascar, Australia or New Caledonia, provides an essential oil with a complex structure whose main ingredients are oxides, monoterpenols and sesquiterpenols.
Properties
Niaouli essential oil is antibacterial and antiviral. It is traditionally used at the respiratory level. Its properties are also verified at the genito-urinary level. Its action is reputed in the case of mycosis such as candida albicans. Niaouli essential oil is also a venous decongestant, which can be found in many recipes for external use targeting poor venous return, heavy legs and varicose veins. It is frequently associated with cypress. It offers an excellent compatibility with the skin, which makes it a quality skin tonic. As a protective measure, it can be applied undiluted to skin areas that are to undergo radiotherapy. Tea tree is also suitable for this purpose.
Psycho-emotional level
The aroma of niaouli is unmistakable: intense, complex, camphorated, sulphurous. Like the tea tree, which is close to it in many respects, it reconciles with the concrete aspects of life, gives a sense of security, dispels mental confusion and combats nervous exhaustion when weakened immunity is the cause.
