The grapefruit tree is a shrub cultivated in warm and sunny regions. Depending on the variety, its fruit produces a pink and sweet or yellow and bitter flesh. The zest, the outermost part of the rind or pericarp, concentrates all its aromatic molecules. This essence, with its sometimes sweet aromas, is bright and light.
Quality
Organic grapefruit essence, more commonly known as grapefruit essential oil, is obtained by cold expression of the peel, not by distillation, in order to collect the original essence produced by the plant. This method of extraction also allows the collection of non-volatile molecules, such as flavonoids.

It is the fruit of paradise, if we refer to its Latin name! If this is true, paradise is a place of delicacy and refinement...
Precautions for use
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use during the first 3 months of pregnancy, nor in young children without medical advice.
In view of the risk of photosensitisation due to the presence of coumarins, also ensure low doses in mixtures. For safety reasons, avoid exposing the treated skin to daylight for a few hours after application.
This oil has a tendency to irritate when used pure, so be sure to dilute it sufficiently for skin use.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
Risk of allergy (limonene, linalool, citral, benzyl benzoate): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (at least 48 hours before use).
Please note: there is no incompatibility between grapefruit essence and certain medicines, unlike the fruit itself and its juice.
