The same Mediterranean shrub for two essential oils with very different profiles! Known and used since Antiquity, this aromatic plant was associated with the goddess of Love. Depending on whether it grows in Corsica or North Africa, it adapts to its soil and produces different essences. Here is the one from Morocco with its fresh, herbaceous and slightly mentholated fragrance.

Our opinion Myrtle essential oil: red or green? The green one has the strongest "myrtle" personality but is relatively expensive. One of the advantages of red oil is that it is more competitive in this respect. Precautions for use Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women or children under 6 years of age. Not recommended for people with epilepsy or a history of convulsions, or for asthmatics, especially in diffusion, due to its 1.8 cineole content. Risk of allergy (limonene): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use). Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of young children. Store away from heat and light.
