Myrtle essential oil is above all expectorant and mucolytic. It is recognised as one of the best tolerated balsamic EO (soothing and facilitating breathing). Its specificity is to act on the affections of bronchi and lungs chronic, deep, complicated of mucous congestion. It has calming properties. It is also useful to stimulate the thyroid gland, in case of hypothyroidism. Finally, it is a skin tonic for wrinkled and devitalized skin. You can incorporate it into a base cream or a vegetable oil of rose hip, argan, jojoba...
The aroma of myrtle essential oil is balsamic, fresh and oxygenating. Popular traditions associate myrtle with youth, beauty and purity.
