Cornflower Hydrosol - Organic

Our Bioflore hydrosols are 100% pure, preservative-free and of food-grade quality. They can be used both internally and externally, for skin and hair care.

Suitable for tired eyes and the eye area, revitalises tired skin. It is used in compresses to relieve the eyes of people who spend a lot of time in front of a computer or television screen. Useful for people who wear contact lenses.

To smooth the fragile skin around the eyes: compress with cistus hydrosol.

For use on dry, devitalized, dehydrated skin. Alone or with rose geranium in very dry environments.

Tones mature and delicate skin on the neck and décolleté.

It is used alone or integrated into masks, lotions, creams, etc.

Both internally and externally, it is suitable for people who are irritable and whose emotions are overflowing. It can be combined with fine lavender or Roman chamomile hydrosols.

It helps to reduce fever. It contains hormone-mimetic substances and can be used in case of hot flushes after the menopause.

Caution with pregnant women, during the first 3 months.

It is convenient to prepare a soothing eye gel by thickening cornflower hydrosol with a little xanthan gum. A small amount of gum is poured into the hydrosol, in a rainbow to avoid lumps, and stirred to obtain a homogeneous gel. The operation is simple, quick and takes place at room temperature.

Internal use: 1 to 2 tablespoons in 1 litre of water

The 200 ml bottles combine lightness with optimal protection: an aluminium outer shell and an inner layer made from food-grade, bisphenol A-free resin, providing an effective UV barrier and good thermal insulation. This choice also helps to reduce the carbon footprint thanks to the lightweight packaging.

We also organise the recycling of the aluminium: the bottles can be returned to Bioflore in Wavre or to L’Herboristerie de Louise in Brussels, to be sent to a company that recycles and reuses the material.

If you’d like to use this hydrosol as a mist, a spray nozzle is available for purchase: simply screw it onto your bottle and reuse it on your future bottles. An economical and eco-friendly solution that helps reduce waste.

As they contain no preservatives, we recommend storing our hydrosols in the fridge to best preserve their quality and avoid exposure to temperature fluctuations.

Once opened, we recommend using them within 3 months.
