Hardy herb of our gardens, annual and perennial, with a long and fleshy taproot. Originally from Iran and Afghanistan, it has adapted well to European soils. Its circular, hollow stem is particularly large and ends in umbels of yellow flowers. A vegetable plant with a powerful aroma of celery, balsamic and very aromatic, which gives us a fruity, floral and gently spicy essential oil.

Without losing its personality with food notes, it is however tinged with more delicate nuances. Whatever its purpose, it is best combined with other essential oils, such as Carrot. Precautions for use Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women or children under 3 years of age. Not for oral use without the advice of a health professional. Contraindicated in cases of cardiovascular or urinary oedema, and in cases of renal damage. Potentially photosensitising essential oil, do not expose to the sun within 8 hours of application to the skin. Dermocaustic for the skin in its pure state, to be diluted for cutaneous use. Risk of allergy: take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use). Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with the eyes. Store away from heat and light.
