A fairly invasive shrub, present in the wild in Tasmania and resistant to the sea air. Locally called "Tick bush", animals take refuge in it to protect themselves from ticks. Woody and solid in appearance, it produces pretty white flowers in spring. Its very recent essential oil reflects the vigour of this plant: its slightly spicy, floral and resinous aromas are powerful.
