Do not confuse it with Hyssop officinalis, Hyssopus officinalis L. ssp offinalis, which is neurotoxic and abortifacient, and is banned from sale to the public.

• Not to be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under 6 years of age without medical advice.
• Not recommended for people with epilepsy or a history of convulsions, or for asthmatics when inhaled or diffused, due to the presence of cineole.
• Do not use cineole essential oils in an asthmatic subject, in the first instance, without medical advice.
• Not for oral use, always use the skin.
• Risk of allergy (linalool, limonene): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use).
