    Organic Broad-Leaved Peppermint essential oil

Eucalyptus are trees of warm regions, with bark that peels off in strips. Their leaves are evergreen, horizontal when young, then hanging. Unlike other Eucalyptus essential oils, which often have kinetic or lemony notes, this one is fresh and evokes aromas of mint.

Quality Botanical family: Myrtaceae Latin name: Eucalyptus dives or Eucalyptus dives piperitoniferum or Eucalyptus dives Schauer Other names: Eucalyptus piperitone Origin: South Africa Cultivation: Controlled organic agriculture - Certisys-BE1 control Distilled part: Leaf Production method: Steam distillation Quality: 100% pure, natural and chemotyped Olfactory notes: minty, fresh Main constituents Ketones: piperitone (42%) Monoterpenes: alpha-phellandrene (28.5%), para-cymene (7%) Monoterpenols: terpinene-4-ol (4%) Oxides: 1.8 cineole (traces) Our opinion An essential oil with an astonishing composition, not very common in the large Eucalyptus family. Rich in piperitone, its olfactory notes are surprising. To be used with care. Precautions for use • Do not use in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 6 years of age, or in epileptics. • It should be remembered that there is sufficient evidence to affirm that the piperitone of Eucalyptus menthol is a non-toxic ketone. However, physiological doses should be respected and therapeutic windows should be left open if the essential oil is to be administered to children and people with nervous sensitivities. • Risk of allergy: take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use). • Do not use internally and do not use for prolonged periods without the advice of a health professional. • Keep out of reach of children. • Avoid contact with the eyes. • Store away from heat and light.
