Quality Botanical family: Cupressaceae Latin name: Fokienia hodginsii or Cupressus hodginsii or Fokienia maclurei Other names: Pemou, Fujian Cypress Origin: Vietnam Culture : Conventional Part used: Wood Production method: Steam distillation Quality : 100% pure, natural, integral and chemotyped Olfactory notes: woody, acidulous, fresh Main constituents Sesquiterpenols: fokienol (24%), nerolidol (24%), elemol (5%) Our opinion Although its aroma is very distinctive, very personal, this essential oil has an energy quite similar to that of Sandalwood. It is sometimes referred to as a lower quality sandalwood, unfairly, as it deserves to be known. A protected species, to be used sparingly. Precautions for use • Essential oil with male hormonal action. • Contraindicated in women in general. • Strictly contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women and children. • Not for internal use without medical advice. • Risk of allergy (farnesol): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use). • Avoid contact with the eyes. • Keep out of reach of children. • Store away from heat and light.
