Learn how to make your own face balm Method 1: The smooth vegan balm without beeswax 1 - Place the vegetable butter in a stainless steel bowl. 2 - Melt the vegetable butter in a water bath that is not too hot, without heating the butter too much and, above all, without bringing it to the boil. 3 - Remove from the water bath, pour the vegetable oils into the bowl and mix with a mini whisk until the mixture is homogeneous. 3 - Add essential oils and/or vitamin E if necessary. 4 - Pour the preparation into a jar. For a better setting of the balm, place the jar in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. An alternative technique: if you don't want to use a bain-marie, you can also grind your vegetable butter with your oils in a mortar with a pestle until it forms a smooth paste and then mix well with a mini whisk. Made under good hygienic conditions, your balm will keep for at least 6 months. Method 2: The solid melting balm, vegetable butter, vegetable oil and beeswax 1 - Place the wax, vegetable oils and vegetable butters in a stainless steel bowl. 2 - Place the bowl in a water bath that is not too hot, until the mixture has melted. 3 - Remove from the water bath and add the other ingredients (vitamin E, essential oils, oil-soluble cosmetic actives). 4 - Mix the mixture well with a mini whisk and then pour it into your pot as a paste. 5 - Allow to cool to room temperature. Made under good hygienic conditions, your balm will keep for at least 6 months. Precautions for use : Balms containing essential oils are not suitable for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women.
