A large, robust herbaceous plant, recognisable by its yellow-green globular umbellate inflorescences. A generous plant, as its roots, stems, leaves and fruits are usable. First cultivated in Scandinavia, it later occupied a special place in the monastic gardens of Central Europe. The essential oil extracted from its root has a green, lemony and lively aroma.

Its aroma lives up to its reputation. A little expensive, but it is made to be used in moderation. We really appreciate the finesse of its Auvergne origin: wet soil and mountains provide an ideal setting.
