An autumn routine for the skin
An autumn routine for the skin Once the summer tan is gone, the skin can look tired, the features drawn and the complexion dull. To restore radiance to the complexion, adopt a natural skin care routine: once a week, a steam bath with plants followed by a gentle scrub and then a clay mask.
Herbal steam bath
The steam opens the pores of the skin and frees the skin from toxins. It is an ideal treatment to prepare the skin for a mask or scrub. The synergy of lavender, sage and rose gently soothes and purifies the skin.
Ingredients for an herbal steam bath:
- 2 tablespoons of hydrosol. Choose a purifying hydrosol from among the hydrosols of noble laurel, inula, fine lavender or Damask rose
- a large bowl of hot water
- dry plants: lavender, sage and rose
Pour two tablespoons of hydrosol and a handful of dry herbs into a large bowl of hot water and place your face over the bowl with a towel over your head to prevent the steam from escaping. Enjoy the steam bath for five minutes.
If you have very sensitive skin with a tendency to couperose, the steam bath will not be suitable because of the heat.
