Rose Geranium

Rose Geranium

Regenerating and invigorating, it is a choice ally in anti-ageing care, to which it brings its soft and delicate pinkish fragrance. Soothing, it relieves young and problematic scalps and skin, or red and sensitive skin. When diffused, while repelling insects, its subtle notes calm, soothe and create a harmonious atmosphere.

Presentation The geranium is a perennial plant of hot countries, of variable size, with pretty white, pink, red flowers... The hybridization of various geraniums gave two Cultivar (CV) today present in many regions: CV Egypt or CV Bourbon. These two varieties produce essential oils that are quite similar in terms of their biochemistry and properties. Most frequent uses Aromatherapy External use Respiratory tract : Gentle olfaction +++ Inhalation +++ Diffusion +++ Skin use: +++ Bathing: ++ +++ Cosmetic External use Face +++ Body +++ Hair +++ Properties Essential oil rich in monoterpenols and esters, with green, floral and pink notes. It can be combined with other essential oils. The Bourbon variety, very popular with perfumers, is however more nuanced than the Egypt variety. Aromatherapy External use In diffusion, repels insects and brings calm, comfort and harmony. Calming, helps repair damaged or sensitive skin. Soothing, to be incorporated into the care of skin prone to redness. Helps to maintain joint and muscle comfort. Contributes to relaxation in case of temporary stress. Cosmetic External use Anti-ageing for face and body. Purifies and relieves problem skin. Invigorating, participates in scalp and hair care. Helps to regulate body odour. Adds a floral and rosy touch to cosmetic preparations. Psycho-emotional benefits Bourbon geranium has less harshness than its Egyptian counterpart and reveals softer and more lemony olfactory nuances. On a psycho-emotional level, it reveals a personality that is all sweetness and subtlety. It has no equal in erasing the excesses of any character with elegance and restraint. This tour de force is achieved by its mere presence, without imposing anything. It is the essential oil of adaptation.
