Plant-based powders take us back to the roots of herbal medicine. Surrounded by jars filled with nettle, sage and burdock powders, we could imagine ourselves in the shoes of an apothecary of the past.
Today, we love plant powders to carry out plant-based rituals for the beauty of the hair and skin. Some of them can even be drunk. We explain everything in this article.
In your mixtures, always choose a powder that will serve as a "base" to obtain a pleasant texture. A clay for the face (white, green, yellow, pink...) and rhassoul or marshmallow root powder for the hair.
Once a week, take the time to prepare your herbal powder mask. Mix the powders according to the needs of your hair. Apply the mask to the scalp, massaging gently and leaving it on for about 20 minutes, while you relax with soft music and a tea. Wet the mask lightly, massage gently and rinse with your usual shampoo.
Rose and hibiscus powders can be used to make beauty drinks with a beautiful pink colour. For a pink latte, mix a teaspoon of one of these powders into some vegetable milk that has been heated (but not boiled). Sweeten with a little honey or maple syrup.
