Which plant powder to choose according to your hair type?
- All hair types: stinging nettle powder, rosemary powder
- Oily hair, oily roots and dry ends: sage powder, stinging nettle powder
- Hair loss, devitalized hair: white mustard powder, nettle powder
- To activate hair growth: white mustard powder
- Irritated scalp, dandruff: burdock powder, sage powder, rosemary powder
How to use the plant powders?
The pre-shampoo herbal powder mask
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of one or more herbal powders
- hot water
- one teaspoon of vegetable oil (optional)
- one tablespoon of organic aloe vera gel (optional)
- 4 to 5 drops of essential oils adapted to your hair type (optional)
- Mix the plant powder(s) by gradually adding hot water until you have a smooth paste. If you wish, add a vegetable oil (e.g. coconut, castor, broccoli, avocado, jojoba...), organic aloe vera gel and a few drops of essential oils.
- Apply the mask before your shampoo by massaging it into the scalp and then down to the lengths and ends.
- Leave on for 20 minutes, the mask should not dry on your hair.
- Rinse the mask with your usual shampoo.
Plant shampoo with plant powders and rhassoul
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of rhassoul
- 2 tablespoons of one or two herbal powders
- hot water
- Mix the rhassoul and the plant powder(s) and then gradually add hot water until a smooth paste is formed.
- Apply your herbal shampoo to damp hair, massaging it into the scalp and working down to the lengths and ends.
- Leave on for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse with clean water.
Hair lotion with vegetable powders
To make your lotion, you must first make an aqueous maceration.
Ingredients:
- 10 g plant powder
- 100 ml water
- Weigh the amount of plant powder.
- Pour the plant powder into your container filled with the desired amount of water.
- Close your container and shake it to disperse the powder well.
- Leave to macerate for 24 hours in a closed container protected from light.
- Filter with a coffee filter.
- Store your aqueous extract in the refrigerator and use it quickly as a hair lotion or rinse after shampooing.
Herbal hair care oil
To make your own hair beauty oil, you will need to make an oily maceration first.
Ingredients:
- 10 g plant powder
- 50 g of a vegetable oil (coconut, jojoba, castor, sesame...)
- Weigh the desired quantities of vegetable oil and plant powder.
- Pour the plant powder into your bottle filled with vegetable oil.
- Close your bottle and shake well to disperse the powder in the oil.
- Leave your preparation to macerate for 24 hours in a dark place.
- Filter with a coffee filter.
- Use your oily maceration as a beauty oil for your hair, pure or mixed with other vegetable and essential oils.
