Lavender Stoechade Essential Oil
A maritime variety with dark purple flowers, which appear to have large wings at the end of each spike, giving it the pretty name of Butterfly Lavender. It grows in clumps and has a rather pungent smell. Until the Middle Ages, only this species was called "lavender", the others were called "aspic". Its essential oil, beyond its herbaceous and penetrating scent, reveals some notes of lavender.
