A rare and precious essential oil, with soft, lemony, deep notes.
This fragrant verbena provides a rather expensive essential oil. However, it is one of the most remarkable EO's with aldehydes, a family that can be recognised by its characteristic lemon aroma. The aldehydes in question are pleasant citrals, but there are also monoterpenols, sesquiterpenes, esters...
The essential oil of scented verbena is anti-inflammatory (rheumatism, arthritis...). Dilution is always preferable because aldehydes are relatively dermocaustic. It can bring relief in the case of Crohn's disease. It is antipyretic (brings down the fever). It is sedative and calms anxiety states. It calms heart racing and is hypotensive. EO of the field par excellence, it communicates its harmony to the endocrine system.
The presence of aldehydes implies the exaltation of the sentimental plane. But the EO of scented verbena is too complex to be summed up in this way. The delicate aroma which emerges from it is a harmonious synthesis between lightness and depth. It is a basic treatment for emotional insensitivity and the resulting depressive states.
