Presentation
Small Mediterranean plant, already known in ancient times as an aphrodisiac. It grows in compact clumps in arid, calcareous soils. Its upright branches are rigid, its leaves are leathery and shiny, and its flowers are numerous.

Properties
Essential oil rich in phenols, particularly carvacrol, a toning compound. Its monoterpene content is also high and includes paracymene, a soothing molecule. Its biochemistry is relatively complex and makes it a major stimulating essential oil, but it should be handled with caution and delicacy.

Precautions for use
- Food supplement. Not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended dose (1 drop twice a day, maximum 80 mg).
- Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women, children under 12 years old, epileptics and asthmatics.
- Consult a health care practitioner before use.
- Do not use for prolonged periods without the advice of a specialist.
- Caution in case of high blood pressure.
- Contraindicated in cases of hepatic insufficiency.
- Any oral intake must be combined with a hepatoprotector (Essence of yellow lemon, essential oil of rosemary verbenone, etc.).
- Potentially "hormone-like" effect, caution in case of hormone-dependent pathology.
- Dermocaustic essential oil when used pure, be sure to dilute it sufficiently for cutaneous use (maximum 5% and on a small area).
- Risk of allergy (linalool): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use).
- Avoid contact with the eyes.
- Keep out of reach of young children.
