Lemon Hydrosol - Organic

Our Bioflore hydrosols are 100% pure, preservative-free and food-grade. They can be used both internally and externally for skin and hair care.

Concentration: all our hydrosols are grade 1, meaning that 1 kilo of plants is distilled to produce 1 litre of water.
Shelf life: 12 months (best before). Once opened, it is recommended to use within 3 months, or up to 6 months if stored in the fridge under optimal conditions.
Scent: herbaceous.

For internal use:

• 1 teaspoon in a glass of water, 2 to 3 times a day.
  Or as a course of treatment: we recommend using 1 to 2 tablespoons of hydrosol diluted in 1 litre of water.
• As an aromatic drink, diluted in water.
• It is traditionally used as a digestive tonic, particularly in cases of slow digestion or loss of appetite.

For external use:

• Skin care:
  • As a toning lotion for oily, problem or acne-prone skin. It helps to purify the skin, balance excess sebum and reduce the appearance of blackheads.
  • It revitalises dull and tired complexions.
  • It is valued for its brightening action and helps to even out the complexion.
• Scalp care: apply to the oily scalp, either by massaging in or as a mist.
• Nail and cuticle care: as a targeted treatment to cleanse and strengthen damaged nails and cuticles.

Their 200 ml bottles combine lightness with optimal protection: an outer aluminium shell and an inner layer of food-grade, bisphenol A-free resin, providing an effective UV barrier and good thermal insulation. This choice also helps to reduce the carbon footprint thanks to the lightweight packaging.

We also organise the recycling of the aluminium: the bottles can be returned to Bioflore in Wavre or to L’Herboristerie de Louise in Brussels, to be sent to a company that recycles and reuses the material.

If you wish to use this hydrosol as a mist, a spray nozzle is available for purchase: simply screw it onto your bottle and reuse it on your future bottles. An economical and eco-friendly solution that helps reduce waste.

As they contain no preservatives, we recommend storing our hydrosols in the fridge to ensure they retain their quality and to avoid exposure to temperature fluctuations.

Once opened, we recommend using them within 3 months.

• For internal use: follow the recommended dosages for food-grade hydrosols.
• For topical use, avoid direct exposure to sunlight after applying to the skin (citrus fruits may cause photosensitivity in some people).
