Combining vitamin C and carotenoids: a plant-based glow for the skin

Summary

What if the secret to a luminous, even-toned, naturally revitalised complexion lay in a well-balanced synergy between vitamin C and carotenoids?

At Bioflore, we have chosen a stable plant-derived form of vitamin C: ascorbyl glucoside, which is perfectly tolerated by even the most sensitive skin. It stimulates collagen production, revives the complexion's radiance and acts deep down to reduce the appearance of pigmentation spots, by slowing down the activity of tyrosinase, the key enzyme in melanin production.

To boost its effectiveness, we combine it with beta-carotene-rich plant oils such as Rosehip Oil CO₂ or Raspberry Oil CO₂: a precious alliance that amplifies the skin's natural radiance, gently evens out the complexion and supports cell renewal.

Our plant-based skincare duo for radiant skin

The Radiance Revitalising Cream reduces wrinkles, nourishes the skin and brightens the complexion thanks to a synergy of natural active ingredients: collagen booster, Vitamin C, organic raspberry oil, organic plum oil and organic rose hydrosol.

    Rosehip, Vitamin C & Strawberry

The Radiance Serum combines radiance, an even complexion and hydration, infused with powerful botanical active ingredients: Vitamin C, strawberry leaf extract, hyaluronic acid of 2 molecular weights, organic blackcurrant hydrosol & organic rosehip oil.

How to use our duo radiance care products?

You can use one or the other, or both together, depending on your skin type, preferences and usual routine.

If you want to combine them, always apply the serum first, followed by the cream.

    To find out more:

The combination of vitamin C and carotenoids offers a precious synergy for correcting and preventing pigmentation spots while naturally brightening the complexion. Vitamin C, in our formulas in the form of ascorbyl glucoside, acts by inhibiting tyrosinase, a key enzyme in the production of melanin (the pigment responsible for brown spots and hyperpigmentation). It therefore reduces the overproduction of melanin, the cause of sun spots, age spots and scarring.

Carotenoids, such as the beta-carotene naturally present in rosehip and raspberry oils, provide a gradual, even glow. As powerful antioxidants, they protect skin cells from oxidative stress, which aggravates pigmentary imbalances. Their orange hue helps to visually brighten dull complexions. Together, they offer an ideal balance between correction, prevention and natural radiance.
