    Organic star anise essential oil

The badian tree is about ten metres tall, with a pyramidal shape, shiny leaves and very fragrant flowers, which give rise to these pretty star-shaped fruits... hence the name Star Anise. Its use in the Far East dates back to ancient times and spread to Europe from the 17th century. Its essential oil gives off fresh and powerful aniseed aromas.
