An aromatic plant already cultivated in China and Egypt in 2000 B.C. A tall, branched herb with blistered, cross-shaped leaves and purple flowers. It is used in cooking to make "mint tea" or to accompany certain Asian dishes. Harvested at the time of flowering, it gives an essential oil with a delicious, green, fresh and stimulating chlorophyll smell.
