Properties
Essential oil with a high phenol content, mainly carvacrol, but thymol is also present: it is one of the most phenolated essential oils that can be found, with carvacrol and thymol representing about 60% of its biochemical composition. Its tonic potential is therefore particularly important and its use requires a certain caution.
Aromatherapy
External use
Invigorating, provides energy and promotes resistance in case of fatigue.
Supports the body's natural defences, particularly in winter.
Helps to purify and repair damaged skin.
Psycho-emotional benefits
The essential oil of Oregano is a solid earthy oil capable of transmitting vital energy. In this respect, we compare it more to Thyme essential oil than to Savory essential oil. Less complex and less subtle than the latter, it is also quite similar to it, as it stimulates vital and instinctive energy.
