The "evergreen Cypress" is an emblematic conifer of the Mediterranean landscape, with an imposing, noble and slender bearing. Abundant on the island of Cyprus, which is said to have given it its name, it is also sometimes called Cypress of Provence. Its essential oil is obtained from its leafy branches.

Its essential oil is complex: it contains mainly monoterpenes, as well as sesquiterpenols and sesquiterpenes, but also other molecules in smaller quantities, notably esters. Sesquiterpenols promote circulatory comfort.

Cypress essential oil soothes the nervous system, while elevating the spirit towards more wisdom and acceptance.
