Clove essential oil is mainly composed of a large quantity of eugenol (nearly 80%), a purifying molecule of the phenol family, and an ester, eugenyl acetate. Its biochemistry is close to that of the essential oil extracted from the leaves of the Ceylon cinnamon tree (not from the bark).

Food supplement. Not a substitute for a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose (1 drop 3 times a day, maximum 120 mg).
Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Not recommended for children under 12 years of age, people on anticoagulants, in case of coagulation disorders, in case of liver disorders.

Do not use for prolonged periods without the advice of a specialist (maximum 14 days).
Potentially dermocaustic. To be diluted for cutaneous use (maximum 20% and on a small area).
Not recommended for atmospheric diffusion, otherwise dilute from 1 to 5% maximum in a mixture with other milder essential oils.
Risk of allergy: take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (at least 48 hours before use).
Keep out of reach of children.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
