Clove

Clove

A spice with typical aromas, well rendered by its essential oil, whose fragrances evoke the art of dentistry. With finesse, it is stimulating and energizing for body and mind. A digestive soothing agent, very useful when travelling to distant countries, Clove essential oil has its place in the family aromatherapy kit.

Clove essential oil is mainly composed of a large quantity of eugenol (nearly 80%), a purifying molecule of the phenol family, and an ester, eugenyl acetate. Its biochemistry is close to that of the essential oil extracted from the leaves of the Ceylon cinnamon tree (not from the bark).

External use

  • Soothing, contributes to the vitality of the gums and teeth.
  • Helps to purify and repair damaged skin.
  • Supports the natural defences, especially in winter.
  • Invigorating, brings energy and promotes resistance in case of fatigue.

The aroma of Clove is warm, spicy but with a roundness. It is an essential oil of passage and rebirth, when it is necessary to turn one's back on the past. It deftly stimulates the vital force necessary to trigger any action, any project.
