Cocos nucifera Virgin vegetable oil from first cold pressing, from organic farming: Certisys-Be control. Virgin coconut oil is extracted by pressing fresh nuts. Its pleasant, fruit-like smell is proof that it is not coconut oil, which is obtained from dried nuts. Coconut oil has a milky appearance. It has a tendency to set quite quickly, but holding the bottle in your hands is usually enough to restore its fluid consistency. Its essential fatty acids, especially lauric acid, and vitamins A and E make it a treasure trove of benefits for skin and hair. It treats dry, mature skin that lacks elasticity. It prevents chapping and cracking. Moisturising and soothing, it is a good after-sun product. It restructures and smoothes the hair: studies show that it is able to penetrate the very heart of the hair. It is suitable for fine, dull hair and split ends. It is also specifically suitable for curly and frizzy hair. It can be used as is: as a mask before shampooing or, in moderation and by spreading it well on both palms of the hands, after shampooing. Because of its virtues and aroma, coconut oil will be considered as an ingredient in the oil phase of any cosmetic cream. Instant recipes Here is a recipe for a sugar scrub. Gentle, exfoliating, nourishing and leaving the skin silky after use: one cup of brown sugar ½ cup vanilla flavoured jojoba oil (1 to 2 drops of fat-soluble oleoresin) 1 tablespoon coconut oil ½ teaspoon vitamin E about ten drops of lavender EO Use a small handful of this scrub in the shower. Gently rub the mixture into the skin and rinse with warm water. This recipe is also suitable for the face. Styling gel: integrate ¼ of virgin coconut oil into ¾ of aloe vera gel. Gradually incorporate while stirring, until you have a creamy gel. As a parasite repellent, here is a suggestion for an anti-lice mask, for a volume of 10 ml: 4 drops of lavandin super EO, 4 drops of tea tree EO, 2 drops of clove EO, 3 ml of neem oil and 6.5 ml of coconut oil. Apply for a few hours and then comb through. Repeat as often as necessary until the nits disappear.
