Winter rituals

Our ritual ideas for slowing down: plant baths, forest-scented essential oils, comforting treatments and the joy of taking your time.

Celebrate your inner self, the cold and connect with the slow pace of winter. Take care of yourself!

A foot-warming bath with woody, oxygenating scents

Footbaths may seem a little ‘vintage’, but they're a real moment of well-being that work on the whole body and promote good immunity in winter. As soon as your nose starts to run, or you feel the chills, think footbath.

For a foot bath, mix together: hot water, a handful of Dead Sea salt, a little plant oil and essential oils. We like to combine essential oils with forest scents (balsam fir, Scots pine) with active essential oils to boost immunity (ravintsara, niaouli, tea tree, eucalyptus radiata...). For an anti-stress effect, add a few drops of a soothing essential oil (lavender, mandarin, sweet orange).

A face mask

Once a week, wrap yourself in a mask packed with active plant ingredients to soothe the skin, which suffers from the effects of temperature changes, cold and wind in winter. A moment of comfort for the skin and the spirit.

Long, restful nights

Long nights and accumulated fatigue encourage us to slow down in winter and allow ourselves longer nights of sleep. To avoid insomnia, nocturnal anxiety and nightmares, accompany your nights with essential oils with calming and soothing properties.

Our tips for a good night's sleep

  • Before going to bed, apply our Roman chamomile roll-on to the wrists and solar plexus to soothe anxiety and thoughts that go round and round in your head.
  • Spray your sheets and pillow with a scented mist to help you fall asleep (recipe just below).
  • Every evening, drink a teaspoon of orange blossom hydrosol diluted in a cup of hot water for a peaceful night's sleep.
