While this decorative shrub displays its abundant colourful flowers in our gardens, another species of Rhododendron also grows at high altitudes in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, in Nepal. An emblematic plant of this country, its leaves and fresh flowers have been traditionally used there since ancient times. Its essential oil offers a refined and complex fragrance, a very subtle mixture of floral, fruity and acidulous notes.
