Anti-couperose cream with immortelle and rose geranium
Many variations of this recipe exist. This one will give you a powerfully moisturising and healing balm with a pleasantly fruity aroma.
Ingredients for 50 ml of cream
- 6 g beeswax
- 15 ml borage oil
- 18 ml apricot kernel oil
- 20 ml immortelle hydrosol
- 15 drops of immortelle essential oil
- 10 drops of rose geranium essential oil
- 3 drops of vitamin E
- 10 drops of grapefruit seed extract
Material
- A stainless steel bowl
- A mini whisk
- A kitchen scale or precision scale
- 50 ml jar
Preparation
1/ Clean and disinfect equipment, utensils, work surfaces and hands.
2/ Melt the beeswax in the apricot kernel vegetable oil in a water bath.
3/ When the wax is completely melted, turn off the heat and add the borage vegetable oil, mix.
4/ Remove from the heat and add the immortelle hydrosol in a stream, stirring in a figure of 8 at the bottom of the bowl with the mini whisk. Do not allow the wax to solidify on the sides of the bowl.
5/ Add the essential oils, vitamin E and grapefruit seed extract at the end.
6/ Put in a pot
Use
This cream can be applied morning and evening to a clean face, targeting the area affected by couperose.
The cream will keep for 1 to 2 months in the refrigerator.
Contraindications
Anyone who is allergic to any of the ingredients in the recipe.
Not recommended for pregnant women during the first 3 months of pregnancy.
