    Organic benzoin absolute in dilution

A slender, wild tree from the mountains of Laos, the Styrax is fond of altitude and humid regions. It produces a gum that is harvested in winter after cutting its trunk: the "tears" thus obtained constitute benzoin. These small pebbles of aromatic resin, extracted with organic alcohol, give us an absolute with vanilla notes, round and warm, very greedy!

Quality Botanical family: Styracaceae Latin name: Styrax tonkinensis Origin: Laos Cultivation: Controlled organic farming: Certisys-BE1 control Part used: Aromatic resin Production process: Extraction with bioethanol Quality: 100% pure, natural, integral and chemotyped Olfactory notes: soft, balsamic, sweet, vanilla, warm Main constituents Phenolic acids: benzoic acid (50%) Aromatic aldehydes: vanillin (3%) Phenolic esters: benzyl benzoate, ethyl benzoate Presentation with a final organic alcohol content of 45%. Our opinion A "balm" in every sense of the word. Comparable to other balms such as copah or myrrh. Benzoin is served by its characteristic vanilla aroma, which gives it a marked emotional dimension. Pure resinoid is always pasty and rather difficult to handle. This problem was solved by diluting this organic benzoin in organic ethanol. The concentration of 55% is sufficient not to cause it to lose its properties and essential personality traits. Precautions for use Not for oral use. Risk of allergy (benzyl benzoate): take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use). Flammable due to ethanol content, keep away from sources of ignition. Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of young children, do not use in pregnant women. Store away from heat and light.
