Quality Botanical family: Lamiaceae Latin name: Lavandula stoechas L. ssp luisieri Origin: Spain Cultivation: Controlled organic agriculture - Certisys-BE1 control Distilled part: Flowering tops Production process: Steam distillation Quality: 100% pure, natural and chemotyped Olfactory notes: kinetic, fruity, resinous Main constituents Esters: luisieryl acetate (22%), lavandulyl acetate (5%) Monoterpenols: luisierol (10%), linalool (2.35%) Oxides: 1.8 cineole (18%) Ketones: borneone (camphor: 3.7%), fenchone (1.6%) Our opinion Although botanists refer to it as Stoechas Lavender, it is quite different! Both in biochemistry and aroma, Seville Lavender develops a unique personality, where harmony and control coexist. Largely underused, its pedigree is worth the diversions and should make it possible to make greater use of a species that is widely available, in large quantities, and wild to boot. Precautions for use Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or in young children, epileptics or those with a history of seizures. Uncommon essential oil, to be used on the advice of a practitioner. Risk of allergy: take care not to overdose in mixtures. An elbow test is recommended prior to any skin application (min 48 hours before use). Avoid contact with the eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from heat and light.
