Seville Lavender grows wild in the sandy-clay soils of Andalusia and Portugal. Less harsh than Spike Lavender, less cold than Stoechas Lavender, and unique in its kind, its fragrance is original and complex: a first fresh flight gives way to fruity notes to end up with resinous aromas, also evoking a sweet smell of tobacco
Although botanists refer to it as Stoechas Lavender, it is quite different! Both in biochemistry and aroma, Seville Lavender develops a unique personality, where harmony and control coexist. Largely underused, its pedigree is worth the diversions and should make it possible to make greater use of a species that is widely available, in large quantities, and wild to boot.
